Ribera del Duero
The History of the Ribera del Duero has gone parallel to the union of the vineyard and the wine, to the fruit of some vines that mark its landscape, the personality of its people and its culture. It is necessary to go back no less than 2,500 years to find the first wine reference in the area: in the empty Pintia site, in the term of Padilla de Duero, Peñafiel district, the presence of wine residues was identified, which confirms that then it was known and consumed, at least in sufficiently significant quantities.
